Wiltshire Day
The day and its story
Wiltshire Day is listed on 5 June. British County Flags identifies the date with the first raising of the Great Bustard flag at County Hall in 2007.
This is a modern flag anniversary, not the beginning of Wiltshire’s history as a county. It offers a useful opportunity to connect the flag’s wildlife symbolism with local history, landscape and community activities.
Make it your celebration
Fly or display the county flag, explore a local collection, share a family story, or bring people together around the county’s food, language, music and history. Check individual organisers for event dates and access arrangements.
