Suffolk Day
The day and its story
Suffolk Day is celebrated on 21 June. The modern initiative began in 2017 and uses midsummer as an opportunity to celebrate the county’s people, places and achievements.
The date is fixed in this calendar. It should not be recalculated from the astronomical solstice, which can occur on different dates. Community events, local stories and county flags give the celebration a wider reach than a single ceremony.
Make it your celebration
Fly or display the county flag, explore a local collection, share a family story, or bring people together around the county’s food, language, music and history. Check individual organisers for event dates and access arrangements.
