Devon Day
The day and its story
Devon Day falls on 4 June, the feast day of St Petroc. It connects a longstanding religious association with the modern celebration of the county.
The Devon flag is known as St Petroc’s Cross. Devon Day is separate from Historic County Flags Day on 23 July: the June celebration concerns Devon itself, while the July occasion brings county flags across Britain together.
Make it your celebration
Fly or display the county flag, explore a local collection, share a family story, or bring people together around the county’s food, language, music and history. Check individual organisers for event dates and access arrangements.
